The "Discovering the Scientific Approach" kit is designed to arouse children's interest in science. Step by step, taking concrete examples from everyday life, you can lead your pupils as they follow in the footsteps of our great scientists.
We are not trying to encourage our budding scientists to grasp complex concepts. We want them to learn the discipline of the scientific approach.
To illustrate the theme of biotechnology, we have devised two small experiments for your pupils.
One concerns making cheese with rennet derived from biotechnology (rather than from calf’s liver).
The other illustrates the use of enzymes in detergents. You will have the opportunity to compare the effectiveness of detergents with and without enzymes.
